Elaine Giza

Hi, I’m Elaine Giza.

I don’t sit across from people pretending to have all the answers — I focus on creating a space where you don’t feel judged and don’t feel talked down to. Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes or being told what to do; it’s about slowing things down, making sense of what’s coming up, and finding a way forward that actually fits your life.

My experience includes working with people navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, experiences with domestic violence, substance use, life transitions, eating disorders, and identity questions. I aim to make therapy feel real, approachable, and supportive, with room for honesty and humor when it helps ease the weight of hard conversations.

Being diagnosed with a learning disorder in kindergarten was an early experience of vulnerability for me and played a meaningful role in shaping my desire to become a therapist. Having people show up with patience and understanding showed me how powerful a warm, non-judgmental space can be — something that continues to guide how I work with clients today.

My sessions are conversational and grounded. I draw from CBT, DBT-informed strategies, motivational interviewing, and somatic approaches to help you better understand both your thoughts and what’s happening in your body. I’m LGBTQ+ affirming and strive to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and supported.

I see clients in-person and virtually.
