Hi, I’m Tich Allen.
Hello, my name is Tich (pronounced Tish). I specialize in working with children aged 6 and older. My passion for this field started with my first job as a YMCA camp counselor. I focus on mood-related issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, anger, life transitions, and suicidal ideations. My goal is to assist children in developing coping and social skills that will prepare them for adulthood. I am committed to collaborating closely with parents to support and empower both them and their children, as parents are crucial to the therapeutic process.
I love finding ways to incorporate play/art therapy techniques when a child expresses interest. It's also gratifying to devise methods that integrate a child's interests into their treatment. My aim is to assist children and families in achieving enduring change through support and empowerment.
I am committed to collaborating closely with parents to support and empower both them and their children. Please reach out to start this journey.
Modalities used: OCD, SBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Processing Therapy
I have experience in the following settings: inpatient psychiatric hospital, inpatient substance abuse treatment, children day camps, corrections, and community reintegration programs.
